Is advanced purchase required for tickets?

Advanced purchase is required for all tours in order for the restaurants to prepare food appropriate to the size of our group.

Are refunds offered, or can I reschedule?

All tickets are non-refundable and tours cannot be rescheduled. Your space has been reserved in advance with our vendors.

Can I book a tour the day-of? How can I pay ahead of time?

Please call us at 801-793-0044 to inquire about same-day availability, as tours are booked first come first served.

What is included in the price of the tour?

Your delicious tour includes a guided historical tour from a knowledgeable host, a minimum of 7 generous tastings – an amount similar to a full lunch. Most participants will finish the tour feeling perfectly satisfied. Gratuities to the tour guide are not included in the price and are gratefully accepted.

Are there any hidden costs?

There are no hidden costs – everything on your tour has been arranged ahead of time. Expect to pay a $1 credit card processing fee upon checkout.

I’m a vegetarian – what are my options?

Please notify us in the Comments section of your online registration form so that we may arrange an option ahead of time with the restaurant. Please note, this request must be noted at time of booking with minimum 24 hours notice.

I have food allergies – what are my options?

Please notify us in the Comments section of your online registration form so that we are aware of possible allergies to the foods we have selected for our tour and we will try our best to accommodate alternatives with minimum 24 hours notice.

Is this tour child-friendly?

Our walking tours comprise 2 – 3 miles of mostly flat urban terrain. We find that most young children have short attention spans after a limited time. Parents should understand there will be a lot of standing and walking and live presentations from chefs and shop owners. You know your child best and we hope you take into consideration the experience of all of our guests.

How much walking is involved?

Each walking tour consists of 2.5 – 3 miles of moderately paced walking, with the exception of our Park City walking tour that is approximately one mile.

Is this tour appropriate for the elderly?

Our tour is enjoyable for all adults who love to eat good food and learn about history. If you would like to arrange a tour for an elderly group, we are more than happy to accommodate and take into consideration the unique needs and ability.

Do you offer a discount for children? Seniors? Active military? Large groups?

We do offer a discounted rate for children 6 – 12 years of age. These prices are posted at checkout. We do not offer any additional discounts.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Most of our venues are wheelchair accessible. If you require accessibility, please contact us with a minimum 48 hours notice so that we may consider our tour itinerary.

Can I make purchases along the way?

The tour guide will alert you when and where you may shop. In some cases, you may enjoy shopping at your leisure after the tour concludes. You will be provided with a map and addresses for each vendor at the start of the tour so you may enjoy their variety of products.

Where does the tour start and finish?

Most tours begin and conclude at the same place. The meet-up address for your tour will be specified in your reservation confirmation.

Can I take photos on the tour?

Do you offer private tours?

Yes – we love private tours! Let us customize your experience or reserve a tour block so that you and your group may enjoy your private event. Please visit our Corporate Events and Parties page for additional information. You may also contact us at 801-793-0044.

Is gratuity included in the price of the tour?

Gratuity in the service industry is standard and ranges from 18 – 20%. Gratuity is not included in the price of the ticket and may be given at the end of your tour via cash or credit card. Our tour guides work very hard to make you happy and appreciate your recognition.

What type of restaurants will we be visiting? What will we be learning?

You will visit restaurants and food destinations unique to our local neighborhoods, offering a variety of cuisines and course offerings. Your tour guide is well versed in the history, cultural aspects, and architecture of Utah and our special neighborhoods. Feel free to ask questions – we’ll do our best to answer them!

What happens if there is rain or snow?

Tours are held rain or shine. Utah is at its most beautiful in the winter season. Please dress appropriately for the season and the weather. In extreme and rare cases, a tour may be cancelled and rescheduled due to dangerous weather conditions.
